Russian Propagandists Were Up In Arms After The Drone Strike On Moscow

Solovyov's supporters called for Muscovites to be imprisoned and tortured.

Following the largest drone raid by the Ukrainian Armed Forces on Moscow, Z-propagandists have stepped up their calls for repression against Russians. In particular, the host of “Solovyov Live” Armen Gasparyan called for criminal cases of treason to be opened against Moscow residents who filmed the drone attack that struck the Kapotnya oil refinery. The propagandist reported that he had seen about a hundred videos from Moscow during the strike on “Ukrainian” channels, and called on security forces to use facial recognition technology to identify the authors of these videos. According to Gasparyan, such people—"worthless bastards" and "voluntary accomplices" of the Ukrainian Armed Forces—should be arrested and "broken" during interrogations.

“Some back-alley whore with fake eyelashes is gleefully commenting on something, and some faggot who, by some misunderstanding, hasn’t been beaten yet,” the propagandist added, expressing his opinion about the authors of the videos. Vladimir Solovyov also called for Muscovites to be deprived of their freedom for filming and sending videos showing strikes on the capital. He stated that “upon arrival in the Moscow Region, the entire feed is flooded with [footage].” “That’s why everyone who sends these videos needs to be put in jail. And publicly, at that. The very fact that this blogger [Anatoly Sharia] published these videos and photos is sufficient grounds to imprison the people who took and sent them,” the propagandist said.

Solovyov also stated that Muscovites should not “freak out” during Ukrainian drone strikes and advised those who are nervous about the attacks to leave the capital. The host also quoted Soviet dictator Joseph Stalin from Order No. 227 of the People’s Commissar of Defense of the USSR, dated July 28, 1942: “We must establish the strictest order and iron discipline in our army if we want to save the situation and defend our Motherland. <…> Panic-mongers and cowards must be exterminated on the spot.”

“That’s all. No need to panic—we need to think,” the propagandist concluded.

According to Mayor Sergey Sobyanin, 194 Ukrainian drones were intercepted “approaching Moscow” during the night and morning of June 18. In terms of the number of UAVs, this was the largest-scale attack on the capital since the start of the war. As a result of the raid, the oil refinery in Kapotnya was hit—for the second time in a week—and caught fire. Drone debris also fell on the grounds of the “Sadovod” shopping center, damaging one of the buildings and causing a fire. UAV fragments also damaged the roof of the “Belaya Dacha” shopping center. A fire broke out there as well.

In the Moscow region, according to authorities, 17 people were injured, including two children.
