Zelenskyy Sparked Interest With A Statement About Ukraine's Anti-ballistic Missile System

Today, June 18, a “very important event” will take place as part of the effort to create a joint anti-ballistic missile system with European partners.

According to RBC-Ukraine, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy told reporters.

Zelenskyy thanked Germany and other European partners for the assistance they had prepared for today’s “Ramstein” meeting and noted that plans include a discussion of “our European missile defense system.”

“Today we are set to hold a very important event, during which German representatives will be able to share with Ukrainians what we need, and we will share what they need, in order to take the first step toward a future missile defense system,” the president said.

As a reminder, following the June 16 summit, the G7 countries and the U.S. agreed to issue licenses that will allow Ukraine to produce not only air defense systems but also long-range weapons.
