"Ukraine Is, In Effect, NATO's Second Army, And This Is Widely Acknowledged."

"Ukraine Is, In Effect, NATO's Second Army, And This Is Widely Acknowledged."

Zelenskyy summed up the results of the latest meeting of the "Ramstein" group.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy emphasized that the Armed Forces of Ukraine are every bit as strong as the Russian army. Russian dictator Vladimir Putin is losing ground both on the battlefield and politically.

According to a correspondent UNIAN, Zelenskyy told reporters this in a voice message on WhatsApp.

Ukraine Is Needed by the Alliance

“Ukraine today is, de facto, NATO’s second army, which is on par with the world’s second-largest army, and that is why we—and specifically we—are needed by NATO de jure. This is already a fact recognized by all leaders,” Zelenskyy emphasized.

What Was Promised to Ukraine at the New “Ramstein” Meeting

As the head of state noted, at the “Ramstein” meeting, Ukraine received confirmation from nine countries regarding the allocation of funds for the PURL program.

“And that’s more than one billion worth of missiles for the ‘Patriots,’” the Ukrainian president noted.

He added that the European Union will tighten sanctions against Russia—this decision was adopted unanimously.

“We’ve agreed on additional F-16s; we need to train pilots urgently,” Zelenskyy said.

The Russian dictator does not want to end the war

“Putin doesn’t want to stop. And all his talk about wanting peace is a lie. All our partners, all Europeans, can sense this. But everyone is confident that together we will stop him. The main thing is that, together, we will stop him,” Zelenskyy noted.

As the President of Ukraine emphasizes, Putin, the instigator of the war, wants everything in Ukraine to go up in flames.

“And he’s a madman. Our partners sense this. Ukraine is ready to negotiate with him, despite this. But Europe must fully commit so that we have a strong position: fully commit to sanctions, without exceptions; to asset forfeiture, without exceptions; and to funding Ukraine,” Zelenskyy stated.

What Putin Fears

As the President of Ukraine notes, Putin fears sending his army home.

“That’s why he’s so afraid of the war ending without a victory. There will be no victory. He is physically afraid of his own army, and therefore, if there is no ceasefire with concrete security guarantees, he will return to war. And this time, others may find themselves under attack,” Zelenskyy emphasized.

According to the head of state, Putin will remain in the Kremlin until his death.

“And he has one goal—the restoration of the Soviet Union. Without Ukraine, this is impossible, and that is why our situation is so difficult, dear Ukrainians,” Zelenskyy stated.

Warning to Ukrainians: Do not ignore the alarm signals

At the same time, the president is convinced that Putin is growing weaker.

“He is weakening politically, on the battlefield, and physically. And that is why he may intensify his attacks on us and our people with missiles and drones. Please take shelter. I’m begging you, really,” Zelenskyy emphasized.
