Polish President Karol Nawrocki noted the role of US President Donald Trump in the release of political prisoner Andrzej Poczobut. The Polish leader told a briefing in Dubrovnik, Croatia:
- The very long process of releasing Andrzej Poczobut has been completed. In September 2025, having just been sworn in as president of Poland, I asked President Donald Trump not to forget about the imprisoned Pole and to raise the issue in all negotiations with the Belarusian regime," President Karol Nawrocki emphasized.
He pointed out that the release of the Polish-Belarusian prisoner was the topic of his Monday conversation with the United States special envoy for Belarus.
- John Cole confirmed that at the personal request of President Donald Trump he considers Andrzej Poczobut's case as a priority," he added.
