Debris in the Holosiivskyi District
A few minutes earlier, debris fell onto an open area in the Holosiivskyi District. The shockwave damaged windows in a non-residential building and several cars. There were no fires or injuries.
The South Bridge was first struck on the afternoon of October 1, when two drones struck near one of its supports. Metro and surface transit services were suspended, but specialists from “Kyivavtodor” found no critical damage. Buses No. 22 and 91 returned to their usual routes, while trains on the “green” line were temporarily suspended from crossing the bridge.
That same evening, the Russians attacked the bridge again, and this time the consequences were more serious. According to preliminary reports, a drone damaged a bridge pier, a guardrail, the roadbed, and the subway’s protective concrete barrier. Traffic on the bridge was halted once again, and subway specialists cut power to the tracks.
