On the night of October 2, the Ukrainian Defense Forces attacked strategic targets in Russia’s Volgograd Oblast.
According to preliminary reports, industrial facilities and an oil refinery in Volgograd were hit, reports Dialog.UA after monitoring social media.
An air raid alert was declared in the Volgograd Region on October 2 shortly after midnight. At approximately 1:00 a.m. Moscow time, Rosaviatsiya temporarily suspended flights at Volgograd Airport.
The video was published by the Exilenova+ Telegram channel.
Andrey Bocharov, governor of the Volgograd Region, acknowledged that on the night of October 2, Ukrainian UAVs attacked targets in the region. The main targets were industrial facilities in Volgograd.

This is one of the largest oil refineries in Russia. It can process approximately 15 million metric tons of crude oil into petroleum products annually. The Volgograd Oil Refinery supplies the Russian Federation’s military with fuel and lubricants, making it a legitimate target for the Ukrainian Armed Forces. In 2026, the Ukrainian Armed Forces repeatedly struck this facility.
