Pashinyan: Things Won't Be The Same With Russia As They Used To Be

Relations between Moscow and Yerevan are set to undergo inevitable changes.

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated that regardless of who is in power in Russia, relations between the two countries will never be the same as they were before. He made these remarks on September 19 during an appearance on Boon TV.

“Our relations with Russia will inevitably change. This has nothing to do with any particular individual or political force. No matter who it is, Armenian-Russian relations will no longer be the same as before,” Pashinyan stated.

According to him, as long as a peaceful atmosphere prevails in Armenia, relations between Armenia and Russia cannot remain the same, “because Armenian-Russian relations in a state of conflict are one thing, but in a state of peace—they are quite another.”

Armenia is a member of the Eurasian Economic Union led by Russia’s illegitimate president, Vladimir Putin, and a Russian military base is located on its territory. However, Russia’s relations with Armenia have deteriorated significantly.
