Operation "Vivaldi" Gains Momentum: New Successes For The Ukrainian Armed Forces In Donetsk Oblast

A total of 125 square kilometers of territory has already been returned to Ukrainian control.
The Ukrainian Armed Forces’ offensive operation in the Donetsk region, code-named “Vivaldi,” is gaining momentum. Ukrainian forces have already regained control of 125 square kilometers of territory.
This was reported by Brigadier General Andriy Biletsky, commander of the Third Army Corps.
“Vivaldi” continues and is gaining momentum. The Third Corps has liberated Shandrigolovo and Derilovo and established full control over Drobyshevo,” Biletsky reported.
According to him, during the first and second phases of Operation “Vivaldi,” the Third Army Corps and attached units restored 125 square kilometers of territory to Ukrainian control, 50 square kilometers of which were deoccupied.
Another 800 enemy soldiers have been eliminated. The Russian Federation’s total losses over both phases amount to more than 3,000 occupiers.
The corps continues to erode the offensive capabilities of three Russian armies at once—the 20th, 25th, and 1st Tank Armies.
“During assault operations, drones and UAVs always lead the way ahead of the infantry. The 3rd Army Corps was the first in the world to begin deploying ground-based robotic systems. “Our heavy bombers deliver kamikaze UAVs more than 10 kilometers into the enemy’s rear,” Biletsky said.
He added that artillery and unmanned systems struck enemy command posts, communications nodes, logistics facilities, crossings, and reserves. Air defense and electronic warfare systems created a protective dome over the combat zone. Blinded, the enemy was unable to decipher the operation’s plan, while our units consolidated their positions on the newly secured lines.

As a reminder, the 3rd Army Corps launched the “Vivaldi” offensive operation in the north of Donetsk Oblast.
Over the course of the week, the Defense Forces made further advances—clearing and liberating settlements.
In particular, Ukrainian troops drove the Russians out of the village of Srednee without suffering any casualties, fully clearing and taking control of the settlement.
In addition, it was previously reported that the Defense Forces managed to liberate an area larger than Zhytomyr. During the fighting, Ukrainian soldiers eliminated a concealed enemy force and established a foothold for a further offensive in the region.
