Zelenskyy: Moscow Was Subjected To A Massive Attack By Drones, "Flamingo," And Pelican

One of the key enterprises in the Russian oil industry has been hit.

Ukrainian drones and missiles, specifically the “Flamingo,” launched a massive attack on Moscow on the night of September 20. One of the Russian Federation’s key oil industry facilities and a logistics facility were struck.

This was reported by Charter97.org, citing Telegram of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

“Our long-range strikes had a very noticeable effect in the Moscow region last night. One of the Russian Federation’s key oil industry enterprises and a logistics facility belonging to the aggressor have been destroyed. This amounts to billions of dollars that support the war machine,” Zelenskyy said.

In particular, the following systems were deployed: FP-1, RZ-100, MICH-2000, “Palyanitsa,” Vendetta, “February,” “Bars,” “Flamingo,” “January,” and Pelican.

Sanctions were also imposed on an enterprise in the Voronezh region.

“Moscow must not build layered air defense rings at the expense of other regions, but must end its brutal war and choose peace. There are steps on the table for de-escalation: in the energy sector and food security. Political will is needed. Thank you to everyone who is strengthening Ukraine’s strategic reach,” added the President of Ukraine.

A massive attack on Moscow

As a reminder, on the night of September 20, the Ukrainian Defense Forces launched a massive attack on Moscow.

As a result of the nighttime drone attack in Moscow, the Gazpromneft-MNPZ oil refinery—which supplies 40% of the Russian capital’s fuel—caught fire.

A warehouse complex in the Moscow region was also attacked.

Meanwhile, Russia reported a record-breaking drone attack that affected dozens of regions. According to Russian authorities, 450 drones were shot down just as they approached Moscow.
