Huge lines formed for the presentation.
Mark Formelle teamed up with the popular Belarusian rapper nkeeei to release a limited-edition clothing collection. They combined the presentation of the new items with an autograph session—and it was a huge success. The lines for the event were impressive, according to "Zerkalo".
Information about the launch of the collaborative collection with the rapper appeared on the brand’s Instagram as early as the beginning of September. The designers promised to add “glamour, a rebellious aesthetic, and freedom of self-expression” to Belarusians’ wardrobes. When asked how this collaboration differs from others, nkeeei replied:
— I choose what makes me feel like myself. Plus, Mark Formelle is from Belarus, just like me, so that unites us and gives us a certain energy. The entire collection we created is, essentially, what I and they like. Both us and you.
They decided to hold the product presentation at the “Pershy Natsionalny Gandlevy Dom” shopping center. They promised to combine it with an nkeeei autograph session. The latter was supposed to last two hours.
There turned out to be quite a few people eager to attend the event. Judging by the photos and videos on Threads, most of them were teenagers. Threads user @ritakryz posted one of the videos from the event on her account.
“What do you think of the line for the nkeei autograph session?” the girl asked in her post, later noting that a huge crowd had turned out. Quite a few of them, she said, “left empty-handed”—without photos or autographs.
Another attendee wrote that she was “shocked by the organization.”
“A ton of people showed up, and the staff couldn’t organize the line properly,” she shared.
On Mark Formelle’s own Threads, the company was criticized for the fact that nkeeei left the autograph session early. The clothing manufacturer itself has not yet commented on the situation. In the latest post published on the evening of September 19 on Threads, company representatives encouraged users to share photos from the event on social media.
As a reminder, the rapper nkeeei’s real name is Nikita Korobyko; he is from Baranovichi. He studied to become a programmer but, against his parents’ wishes, pursued a career in the arts. He went on to gain popularity in Belarus and Russia. He has over 290,000 followers on Instagram and more than 1.8 million on TikTok.
