Authorities in the Gomel Region are building a railroad for a new military facility, according to "Radye Svaboda", citing documentation obtained by the "Belarusian Railway Workers' Association."

The full name of the project is "Construction of a Training Ground in the Gomel Region." The client is RUE “Institute ‘Voenproekt’,” and the developer of the project documentation is LLC “TransSoyuzProekt.”

The project calls for the construction of a 60-car access track, as well as ramps for unloading tracked and wheeled vehicles.

In January 2026, the Gomel-based publication “Flagshtok” reported on the construction of a large military training ground near the Yakimovka station; journalists were able to confirm that work had begun.
