Igor Tulchinsky moved to the United States at the age of 11.
Former Minsk resident Igor Tulchinsky represented Belarus in the Forbes ranking of the wealthiest U.S. citizens born abroad. He ranked 138th on the list as the founder and owner of the investment firm WorldQuant, according to the publication "Belarusians and the Market".
Igor Tulchinsky was born in Minsk in 1966 to a family of musicians. When he was 11 years old, his parents moved to the United States. His net worth is currently estimated at $1.7 billion.
The list of countries and territories represented by immigrant billionaires has expanded to 45—in 2025, this figure stood at 42. Haiti, the Philippines, Poland, and Spain have joined the ranking. At the same time, Guatemala lost its sole representative: Duolingo co-founder Louis von An dropped out of the billionaires’ club amid a decline in his stock price.
For the second year in a row, India leads in the number of immigrant billionaires: their number has reached a record 19, which is seven more than last year.
