Lukashenko Will Discuss Zelenskyy's Ultimatum With Putin

Peskov reported this.

Alexander Lukashenko and Vladimir Putin intend to discuss “in the foreseeable future” Vladimir Zelenskyy’s demand that the repeaters located in Belarus— which are aiding Russian strikes on Ukraine. This was stated by Russian Presidential Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov, according to TASS.

According to Peskov, Lukashenko and Putin plan to “hold talks in the near future to discuss, among other things, Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s threats against Minsk and other issues.”

“Indeed, and as you know, Alexander Grigoryevich [Lukashenko] has spoken about this as well; they plan to hold talks in the foreseeable future, and this will be a good opportunity to discuss these and other issues,” said the Kremlin spokesman.

He stated that Zelenskyy’s demand regarding border relay stations constitutes “absolutely aggressive threats, interference in the internal affairs of another country, and an encroachment on the sovereignty of another country.”

However, the Kremlin “has no doubt that the Belarusian leadership, and Belarus itself, is capable of ensuring its sovereignty.”

According to the Kremlin press secretary, the issue of Zelenskyy’s statements may be raised during the upcoming meeting between Vladimir Putin and Alexander Lukashenko.

As a reminder, on June 19, the President of Ukraine stated that Minsk should dismantle the relay stations, which, according to Kyiv, help Russia adjust drone strikes on Ukrainian territory.

Later, Zelenskyy reported that Ukraine is aware of four such facilities in the Brest and Gomel regions and gave Minsk one week to dismantle them, warning that otherwise Ukraine may destroy these facilities on its own.
