The Ukrainian Armed Forces Shot Down A New Russian "Chernika" Drone For The First Time

The Ukrainian military has destroyed a Russian "Chernika" drone for the first time. This was reported by the company “General Chereshnya.”

“Russia launched the ‘Chernika.’ Zaporizhzhia met it with the ‘Chereshnya.’ For the first time in Zaporizhzhia, a ‘Chernika’—a new strike platform that Russia is actively using in frontline areas—was destroyed,” the company noted.

The drone was intercepted by the “Posipaki” unit of the 39th Anti-Aircraft Missile Regiment and soldiers of the 23rd “Khortytsia” Brigade of the National Guard using the “General Chereshnya” interceptor.

The company noted that the “Chernika” is a “flying wing”-type strike platform with a range of up to 100 km, a cruising speed of 75 km/h, and resistance to electronic warfare systems.
