Crimea Has Suspended Admissions To All Summer Camps

What are the occupiers preparing for?

Sergey Aksyonov , the Russian-appointed “head” of annexed Crimea , announced that as of June 22, the admission and accommodation of children at children’s recreation and health camps would be suspended.

According to him, children will not be admitted to the camps until September 1, 2026.

“In the current situation, these measures are necessary to ensure public safety,” Aksenov wrote on his Telegram channel.

The suspension of children’s admission to camps was previously reported by “Ostorozhno, Novosti” had previously reported on the suspension of admissions to the camps, citing parents of schoolchildren. According to one of the mothers, on the way to “Artek,” the bus carrying the children “was turned back to Kerch without any explanation.” “Today was supposed to be the arrival of the new camp session, but without explaining why, ‘Artek’ refused to accept some of the children, so the children are forced to spend the night in Kerch, at some college,” she said.

The Ukrainian military has recently have been striking transportation routes leading to the annexed Crimea, which led to a fuel shortage on the peninsula as early as the end of May; following an attack by the Ukrainian Armed Forces on the night of June 21, the authorities suspended gasoline sales to both individuals and businesses.

The commander of the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ Unmanned Systems Forces Robert Brovdy previously stated in an interview with Reuters that Ukraine would soon isolate the occupied peninsula from Russia, and promised that the Ukrainian military would continue to strike Russian logistics routes.
