Pentagon Chief: US Has Learned A Lot From Ukraine In The Field Of Drones

Washington is actively using the experience of the WSU.

Pentagon chief Pete Hegseth said that the United States is actively using Ukraine's experience in the use of drones on the battlefield.

He said this on Saturday, May 30, while speaking to reporters on the sidelines of the Asian Security Summit in Singapore, European Truth reported.

The defense minister noted that Washington is studying Ukrainian methods and working to develop its own capabilities in drone technology.

"President [Donald] Trump's 2027 budget calls for a $56 billion investment in drone superiority and further studying Ukraine's experience on the battlefield. It's not about having the most advanced systems, it's about the ability to scale them, to scale them quickly, adapting week after week - that's how quickly drone technology adapts," Hegseth noted.

He emphasized that drone technology remains an "absolute priority" for the United States, and that Ukraine's experience has shown how to effectively put these systems into practice.

On May 13, he said that the Pentagon had sent the US military to Ukraine to study the experience of using drones in real combat conditions.
