US President Donald Trump doubts whether Vice President J.D. Vance is fit to be his successor. The head of state began to frequently ask the opinion of advisers on the matter, The New York Times reported, citing sources.
The American president believes that JD Vance has not won any major elections without his help. Donald Trump believes that Vance became a senator from Ohio thanks to his support. According to NYT interlocutors, in conversations with aides, Trump points out the number of vacations the vice president takes. The US President also notes that JD Vance was initially against the start of a military operation in Iran.
Donald Trump previously called JD Vance and US Secretary of State Marco Rubio an ideal team of candidates for the election in 2028 from the Republican Party. Mr. Trump did not specify who he sees as president and who he sees as vice president.
