A record number of Belarusian citizens - eight - were expelled in the first quarter of 2026 by the Georgian authorities, according to the "Pozirkam" analysis of local police data.

Six men (four aged 26 to 40, one each aged 18 to 25 and 41 to 65) and two women (one each aged 18 to 25 and 26 to 40) were expelled.

In 2025, Georgia expelled six Belarusian citizens (all men; four in the third quarter, one each in the first and fourth quarters), an annual record.

In the previous six years (2019-24), three Belarusian citizens were expelled from this country (one each in 2020, 2021, and 2023).

General statistics show the activation of Georgian security forces: 77 foreigners were expelled in 2021, 165 in 2022, 190 in 2023, 363 in 2024, 1,311 in 2025, and 904 in the first quarter of 2026.
