Argentine President Sang About Freedom At Concert Honoring Netanyahu
Javier Milay

The performance was an improvisation.

Argentine President Javier Miley made a surprise appearance on stage during a torch-lighting ceremony in honor of Israel's Independence Day. The politician joined the artists and performed the song "Libre" ("Free") included in the program, writes newsru.co.il.

The performance was not planned and was an improvisation. Judging from the footage, the director of the ceremony, Shimon Deri, appeared momentarily confused and tried to direct the president to the ceremony site.

Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu, who was watching from the audience, was also surprised by what was happening.

Miley had previously performed the song on stage - notably at a rock concert in Argentina in front of an audience of thousands.

In the framework of his visit to Israel, the Argentine president visited the Wailing Wall and signed agreements on cooperation in the fight against terrorism and in the field of artificial intelligence, as well as on the launch of direct flights to Buenos Aires.
