"The North Koreans Gave Lukashenko An Urn For A Reason."

Everything is heading for the collapse of the dictatorship.
Belarus' economy is weakening: prices are rising, people are increasingly complaining about low wages. But instead of explanations, Lukashenko blamed the Belarusians themselves - in "dependency" and unwillingness to work.
Why did the dictator decide to blame the Belarusians? The site Charter97.org talked about it with a well-known blogger and former political prisoner Dmitry Kozlov ("Gray Cat"):
- For Lukashenko it is a habitual practice. First of all, he does not like to take any responsibility. The dictator has been responsible for what is happening in the country for 30 years, and he has been leading alone, but he is supposedly innocent of everything negative - the collapse of the economy, repressions and everything else. This is simply an unwillingness to take responsibility.
Secondly, it is an inability to lead. This is the man who actually brought the country to the state of ruin, but Lukashenko, of course, does not recognize it, because he is used to seeing himself as the only great "leader" and "salvation" of Belarus. He thinks that only he knows how and what should be done. But in practice we see that this is not confirmed and leads to quite the opposite results.
What concerns the crisis in the economy, these are not empty words and not some of our assumptions. For example, in 2025, inflation in Belarus officially amounted to 6.8%, which exceeded all the forecasts of Lukashists, and it will continue to increase. And even Russia is not saving, despite the fact that Belarus is trying to sell some goods to the Russian Federation.
Russia is now in an economic crisis, and the latest reports we hear, including what Turchin told Lukashenko, link the problems in Belarus to the economic crisis in Russia, and the fact that the situation is getting worse there, and we are, like, partners, connected to each other and all that. But, again, it is Lukashenko's "merit" that he tied us to Russia, and our economy has become completely undiversified, everything has become unbalanced.
The same is the failure of the five-year plan of cooperation with China. The trade deficit increased to 4.5 billion dollars. We planned with China: we are such friends, but in fact it turns out that this direction is not justified either. As for the so-called "far arc" countries, or, as it is presented, "Third World countries" - Guinea, the Central African Republic, about which much has been said, as well as Mongolia - the question arises: where are the real results? In fact, it can be called Lukashenko's usual political tourism. The Belarusian dictator is doing approximately the same thing that Tikhanovskaya is doing in Europe. The only question is where such an agenda comes from and how much practical content it has.
The same is true of industry. One of the main problems now is not only the financial crisis, but also the industrial crisis, which we also talk about. It is an increase in the deficit of district budgets, especially in difficult regions, such as Mogilev, Gomel, Vitebshchina.
Despite the fact that Lukashenko constantly travels around the regions and says that we need to raise agriculture, we need to nurse calves, we need cows, pigs and everything else, we see that, for example, in the farm "Zadneprovsky" in Orsha district, cattle deaths have been high and remain so. In 2024, it was almost 17 thousand heads. In 2025, the death rate decreased slightly - to 11,703, but as of January 1, 2026, it was recorded that the high value of the death rate still remains, and the number of livestock is now only 13 thousand and a little, that is, it is decreasing. On the example of such farms one can draw a conclusion about the state of the whole economy
- Why does Lukashenko more and more often calls Belarusians "idlers" and talks about replacing them with Pakistanis or North Koreans, but the shortage of personnel remains? Why don't labor migrants want to come to our country?
- As for the population, as they say, if life were good, people would go to the regions, to the countryside, and to Belarus in general. But we don't see migrants coming here.
Europe and the USA are simply attacked by them, but nobody comes to Belarus. Probably about a million people have left Belarus, and these are mostly qualified people who can find themselves in Europe. They are the middle class, they are teachers, builders, doctors - the kind of people that Belarus needs, and there are none of them here. Since I'm from Vitebsk region, I basically track the statistics for this region: from 2016 to 2026, over the last 10 years, in six districts of Vitebsk region, the population decreased by 30%, and in half of the districts - by 25%. That is, there is a decline, extinction, someone is trying to move to Minsk.
Lukashenko decided to replace Belarusians with migrants, to call for Pakistanis - a well-known case, but Pakistanis did not come. If the country was really successful and, as BT, ONT show, we have a 25% GDP growth every year, then how could this be?
If you look in Vilnius, where I am, Indians, Pakistanis, Bolt food delivery - there are actually only migrants there. That is, they feel fine here. But even Pakistanis refused to go to Belarus. Now there is a new craze, they want to bring in North Koreans.
I don't know how well it will work. Maybe the North Koreans will see some prospects in Belarus compared to what they have there, but frankly, I'd even doubt it. We'll see what will come out of it.
- Judging by the situation in the regions and at enterprises, what is happening to the Belarusian economy and what awaits it in the future? As we see, budgets are constantly being revised. If we don't even take 2024, but 2025, the regional budget of Vitebsk, as far as I can see, was originally going to close with a minimum surplus, but they revised the figures for the third quarter of 2025, and as a result, as of March 17, 2026, they have a budget deficit of 3.9 million rubles, although they originally planned that there would be a minimum surplus.
That is, everything is going towards the collapse of the economy, everything is going towards the fact that the crisis will only intensify. This is due to the fact, as I have already said, that the situation in Russia is deteriorating, and this is one of their main partners, so nothing good awaits this regime.
If we talk about the North Koreans, the Koreans gave him an embroidered urn, and it is quite possible that sooner or later everything will end with Lukashenko's ashes being poured into this urn.
