Iran Rejected The U.S. Truce

And will act "in accordance with its own interests."

Iran will not recognize the extension of the ceasefire announced by the US and will act in accordance with its own interests.

This was reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to Iran's state television and Tasnim news agency.

According to Iranian state media, Tehran does not recognize Donald Trump's decision to extend the truce.

An adviser to Iranian parliament speaker Mahdi Mohammadi said that extending the truce would allow the US to strike Iran again.

"The continuation of the naval blockade is a continuation of hostility. As long as the blockade remains in place, Iran will at least not open the Strait of Hormuz and will break the blockade by force if necessary," Tehran said.

Vance's visit canceled

The White House confirmed that U.S. Vice President J.D. Vance has canceled a trip to Islamabad, where he was to lead a U.S. delegation to a new round of talks with Iran. Earlier, Iran refused to participate in these talks, calling them a "waste of time."

Remember, the first round of talks in Islamabad ended on April 12 without any significant results. According to Vice President J.D. Vance, the meeting lasted more than 21 hours, but the sides failed to reach an agreement due to Iran's failure to provide firm assurances of its refusal to develop nuclear weapons.
