On Thursday, October 1, the army of the aggressor country, Russia, launched two drone strikes near the support structure of the South Bridge in Kyiv.
This was reported by the city’s mayor Vitali Klitschko.
According to him, due to the strikes, metro and ground public transportation across the bridge were temporarily suspended.
He added that specialists from Kyivavtodor Most are inspecting the structure to assess its condition.
On the morning of October 1, Russian forces launched a drone strike on a school building in the Solomensk district of Kyiv, damaging the facade and causing a fire. At the time of the attack, more than 100 students and about 60 staff members were taking shelter; according to preliminary reports, no one was injured.
On the night of October 1, Russian forces attacked Kyiv with drones. The effects of the strike were observed in the Solomensky, Obolonsky, and Pechersky districts of the capital. Fires broke out in a residential building, a warehouse, and among parked cars; one person was injured.
In total, on the night of October 1, the occupying forces launched 107 strike drones of various types at Ukraine. Enemy aerial attacks were recorded in 11 locations, and the wreckage of downed drones was found in four locations.
