The Danish Armed Forces have begun testing MQ-9B reconnaissance drones in their airspace to monitor Russian military ships in the Arctic.
This was reported by TV2.

During the first test flights, the military practiced joint operations with the German Air Force. For its part, the German side deployed its own drone to fly along the coast of Jutland.
Denmark has purchased four MQ-9B SeaGuardian unmanned aerial systems for a total of approximately $600 million. They are expected to enter service in 2028. The main base for the new UAVs will be the air base in Aalborg.

The necessary infrastructure is being built there, and a staff of about 100 military personnel and specialists is being assembled.
The acquisition of long-range drones for the Arctic is closely linked to threats and criticism from U.S. President Donald Trump regarding Denmark’s inability to ensure adequate security in Greenland. In addition to Denmark, the United Kingdom, Belgium, Poland, Germany, and Canada have also acquired MQ-9B drones.
