Operation "Vivaldi" Has Yielded New Results

Zelenskyy made an important statement following the report by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Ukrainian forces have made further gains in the Lyman sector of the Donetsk region as part of Operation “Vivaldi.” In addition, units of the Airborne Assault Forces are successfully carrying out their missions as part of yet another active defense operation.

This was stated Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy following a briefing by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Mykhailo Drapaty. Earlier reports indicated that Operation “Vivaldi” enabled Ukrainian forces to clear approximately 75 square kilometers of Russian forces and liberate an additional 10 square kilometers.

“Our troops have achieved significant results in the Lyman sector of the Donetsk region as part of Operation ‘Vivaldi,’ and the Airborne Forces group has also made progress as part of another of our active defense operations. The elimination of the occupiers continues, and the set objectives are being achieved,” Zelenskyy stated.

According to the head of state, the fiercest battles are currently taking place simultaneously on several key sectors of the front.

Particularly intense combat is being reported in the Pokrovsk, Konstantinovsk, and Liman sectors. At the same time, Ukrainian units continue to carry out combat missions in the Zaporizhzhia, Kharkiv, and Sumy regions.

Zelenskyy stated that in the past week alone, the Ukrainian Defense Forces killed or wounded 10,660 Russian servicemen across all sectors of active combat operations.

“In total, over the past week, across all active combat zones on the front lines, our units have eliminated 10,660 Russian servicemen—killed and wounded. And each of these Russian casualties is accompanied by video evidence,” the president said.

The figure cited is an estimate by the Ukrainian side.

Summing up the week, Zelenskyy singled out the soldiers of the 3rd Army Corps and the 68th Separate Airborne Brigade named after Oleksa Dovbush of the 8th Corps of the Airborne Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
