A Toyota minivan was crossed with a Land Cruiser.

The Toyota HiAce camper van is a creation of the Australian company Headspace Campers. The cost of the conversion ranges from 19,000 to 27,600 Australian dollars ($13,600–19,800), reports "Focus".

A motorhome can be built using either a minivan or a Toyota HiAce cargo van as a base. The base model chosen was a rear-wheel-drive version with a 2.8-liter, 177-si-strong turbo-diesel engine.

The HiAce was fitted with an all-wheel-drive system from the Toyota Land Cruiser 200, complete with a transfer case and differential locks, as well as a reinforced suspension with adjustable shock absorbers. Its ground clearance was increased to 300 mm, and 35-inch Toyo Open Country off-road tires on steel rims were installed.

In addition, massive metal bumpers, underbody protection, a winch, and a snorkel were installed. The camper van is equipped with power-operated running boards and a retractable awning.

The Toyota HiAce’s roof now lifts up (it is also power-operated), allowing for a bed to be installed under the ceiling. There is also a fold-out sofa, so the camper van can accommodate four people. The interior is finished with particleboard panels, and LED lighting and USB ports have been installed.

The motorhome is equipped with a portable shower and a small pull-out kitchen featuring an induction cooktop, sink, refrigerator, and air grill. A generator and a separate 200 Ah battery are provided to power electrical appliances, and a 275-liter water tank has been installed.
