The Russian Foreign Minister claims that the West is seeking to “destabilize” the situation in Russia.

The West is allegedly seeking to destabilize the situation in Russia ahead of the State Duma “elections,” said Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrovin an interview with the Vesti news agency.

The minister noted that Western countries continue to support Ukraine by supplying weapons and modern technology, as well as exerting influence on the Ukrainian leadership. According to Lavrov, Kyiv’s actions, supported by the West, are directed, among other things, against the civilian population of Russia.

“They are sanctioning increasingly repugnant methods of inflicting harm on Russian civilians in the hope of causing panic, stirring up protest sentiment, and undermining the peaceful, normal course of life, especially on the eve of the State Duma elections. We can all see this,” said the Russian Foreign Minister.
