More than a dozen regions of the Russian Federation were hit.
From 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on August 22, Russian air defense forces reportedly intercepted and destroyed 250 Ukrainian UAVs over regions of Russia. This was reported by the press service of the Russian Ministry of Defense.
The drones were shot down over the territories of the Arkhangelsk, Belgorod, Bryansk, Voronezh, Kaluga, Kirov, Kursk, Oryol, Ryazan, Samara, Saratov, Tver, Tula, and Ulyanovsk regions; the Moscow region; Krasnodar Krai; the occupied Crimea; and over the waters of the Azov and Black Seas.
Ukrainian UAVs today attacked an Ozon marketplace warehouse for the first time. The company’s facility in Chapaevsk, Samara Oblast—one of the largest logistics centers in the Volga region—was hit. Four people were injured. Operations at the facility have been suspended indefinitely.
