Netanyahu Reached An Agreement With The World Council To Establish A Group On The Disarmament Of Gaza

The parties held in-depth and constructive talks.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has reached an agreement with the Peace Council to establish two working groups to resolve the situation in the Gaza Strip. This was reported by Netanyahu’s office.

“It was decided to establish two working groups: one on the disarmament and demilitarization of Gaza, which Israel and the Peace Council are fully committed to establishing as soon as possible and completing before the reconstruction of Gaza begins. The second working group will focus on sanitation, clean water, and other public health issues for the population of Gaza, which also affect the people of Israel,” the statement said.

The Israeli Prime Minister’s Office noted that the parties held in-depth and constructive talks. The meeting in Jerusalem was attended by U.S. President Jared Kushner, the president’s son-in-law, and Nikolay Mladenov, the High Representative of the Gaza Peace Council. Netanyahu and Kushner agreed that the reconstruction of Gaza will not begin until the Hamas movement is completely disarmed, Reuters reports, citing an unnamed Israeli official.
