The EU Is Preparing Its Most Extensive Package Of Sanctions Against Russia

In the coming months, the European Union plans to announce a new package of sanctions against Russia. This was stated in an interview Die Welt", the EU’s High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Kaja Kallas stated.

According to her, it could be the most extensive package since the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine.

“EU sanctions have already cost Russia dearly, depriving the Russian military machine of more than one trillion euros, and this fall I will present the most extensive sanctions package since the start of the war. If adopted, the total number of Russian entities subject to sanctions will immediately increase by a third. The pressure must continue to mount until Moscow ends the war,” Kallas emphasized.
