Former Aeroflot CEO Arrested In Russia
Mikhail Poluboyarinov

Mikhail Poluboyarinov is accused of abuse of office.

The Tverskoy Court in Moscow remanded the former head of the Russian airline Aeroflot Mikhail Poluboyarinov into custody on charges of abuse of office, “Mediazona”.

The reason for Poluboyarinov’s arrest is unknown, but in 2020 he was a member of the board of VEB.RF. In April, the same Tverskoy Court placed the current deputy chairman of this state corporation Artem Dovlatov under house arrest on the same charge. Poluboyarinov served as a member of the board of directors of this state corporation from 2012 to 2020, as noted by “Mediazona.”

Poluboyarinov took the helm of Aeroflot in November 2020 and left the company in March 2022—this occurred after personal sanctions were imposed against him, according to The Insider.

In 2023, Poluboyarinov joined Rostec, where he was responsible for the financial support of the state corporation’s subsidiaries, according to “Vazhnye Istorii,” citing RBC.
