Zelenskyy Enlisted The President Of Yet Another Country To Help Put Pressure On The Kremlin
Lula da Silva

It has become clear what the Ukrainian leader's plan is.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has appealed to his Brazilian counterpart Luís Inácio Lula da Silva to help facilitate the negotiation process aimed at ending the war.

This was reported by ICL Notícias.

The publication writes that the idea is for the Brazilian president to call both Russian dictator Vladimir Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping.

Zelenskyy wants Lula to convince Putin to personally participate in peace talks and ultimately agree to a meeting with the Ukrainian leader and mediators.

At the same time, it is noted that, according to the Brazilian government, this request stems from Kyiv’s inability to find ways and channels for dialogue with Moscow.

The publication also noted that Ukraine had already made a similar request last year, and the Brazilian Foreign Ministry confirmed to the media that the message had been conveyed to the dictator, though it yielded no results.

It should be noted that, according to a poll by the Kyiv International Institute of Sociology, more than 60% of Ukrainian citizens would support a ceasefire along the current front line, provided they received security guarantees from international partners.

It should be noted that following the strike by Ukrainian forces on the Moscow Oil Refinery Volodymyr Zelenskyy called on Russians to exert influence on the Russian dictator if they wish to put an end to the consequences of the war he unleashed.

According to the Ukrainian president, more than half of Russians support ending the war. He emphasized that citizens of the aggressor country see that their army is failing to achieve victories on the battlefield.
