Ukraine Plans To Secure An Additional $20 Billion In Military Aid From Its Allies

This issue is scheduled to be discussed at a meeting in the "Ramstein" format.

Ukraine is working to secure an additional $20 billion in military aid from its allies. This issue is scheduled to be discussed at a meeting in the "Ramstein" format.

This was reported by Reuters.

Ukraine is seeking an additional $20 billion in military aid from its allies, Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov said during a joint press conference with the Dutch defense minister.

According to him, this additional funding is intended to supplement the aid packages already announced.

A source in the Ukrainian defense sector told Reuters that Kyiv plans to raise this issue at the upcoming meeting of the Contact Group on Ukraine’s Defense, also known as the Ramstein Group, which includes more than 50 countries.

Fedorov noted that of the approximately $40 billion pledged by allies, Ukraine currently has about $24 billion scheduled for delivery.

Ukraine is also working with partners to shift aid priorities and increase its effectiveness.

Key needs include:

long-range artillery

Ukrainian drones

investments in NATO’s PURL initiative

air defense systems

Fedorov emphasized that Ukraine views the current period as a “window of opportunity” to strengthen support from its partners.

“We are trying to convey to our partners that there is a window of opportunity,” he said.

He also noted that the advance of Russian troops on the front lines has slowed this year, in part due to Ukrainian drone strikes targeting Russian logistics and supply lines.
