The distance from the Ukrainian border to the targets is about 700 kilometers.
Two oil pumping stations that supply Moscow with fuel are on fire following an attack by the SBU. The distance to the targets is about 700 km.
This was reported by the Security Service of Ukraine on Telegram.
The stations in question are "Vtorovo" and "Lobkovo" in the Vladimir region of the Russian Federation.
The main purpose of the stations is to transfer diesel to the Moscow Ring Oil Products Pipeline, as well as to transport it for export to ports on the Baltic Sea. Specifically, through the oil loading port of Primorsk.
Local authorities confirmed fires at the two infrastructure facilities following drone strikes by the SBU.
According to NASA FIRMS data, thermal anomalies indicative of fires have been recorded in the areas where both oil pumping stations are located.
Why this matters
The SBU notes that oil pumping stations are critical components of Russia’s fuel logistics.
They are used for:
fuel deliveries to industrial centers;
supplying military infrastructure;
transporting petroleum products for export.
The security service notes that disrupting the operation of such facilities complicates the logistics of Russia’s fuel system and impacts the aggressor country’s export capabilities.
