The effect will continue to grow.
The military command of the aggressor country, Russia, has banned the movement of military cargo along the Russian Federation's main highway, which connects the mainland with Crimea.
This was reported by analysts at the U.S. Institute for the Study of War (ISW). Ukrainian strikes were the reason for this ban on the M-14 Rostov-Crimea and A-291 Kerch-Simferopol-Sevastopol "Tavrida" highways.
Ukrainian defense forces maintain fire control over these highways, which disrupts Russian military logistics and likely impairs the supply of Russian troops on the front lines.
“This effect is likely to intensify in the near future or until Russian forces develop countermeasures. Ukraine is likely to further expand and intensify its medium-range strike campaign, which is likely to have a cascading effect on Russia’s offensive operations in the coming months, especially as Ukraine’s efforts to shape the battlefield intensify,” analysts note.
