The GUR has launched a new section titled "Engineers of Aggression."
The Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine on the War&Sanctions portal has launched a new section titled “Engineers of Aggression,” where information will be published about individuals who are facilitating the waging of an aggressive war against Ukraine by designing and developing Russian weapons.
According to the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense, the Russian scientific and engineering community plays a key role in sustaining the Russian Federation’s military capabilities. Scientists and designers are involved in the creation of missile systems, unmanned aerial vehicles, guidance systems, and AI technologies that are used to strike civilian infrastructure and the civilian population of Ukraine.
Some specialists remain integrated into the international scientific community, receive grants, participate in joint research, and collaborate with foreign institutions.
They use the experience they have gained at their enterprises to develop new weapons of mass destruction and commit war crimes. The first version of this section includes representatives of the Russian defense-industrial complex: designers and enterprise managers, among them:
- Sergei Syursin, chief designer of the Votkinsk Plant, which oversees the production of the “9M723” ballistic missiles that are part of the “Iskander-M” tactical missile system and the RS-26 "Rubezh," better known as "Oreshnik";
- Yeltugan Sizdikov, chief designer of the A. Ya. Bereznyak State Design Bureau “Raduga,” the primary enterprise for the development and production of the “Kh-101” strategic cruise missiles;
- Vitaly Iekel, chief designer of the “Strela” production association, who directly oversees the design and modernization of the 3M55M “Onyx-M.”
The list will be expanded in the future so that no one involved in the suffering of the Ukrainian people can live in peace.
