And started threatening Armenia.
Following Putin, Lukashenko threatens "Ukrainian scenario" because of rapprochement with the European Union, BelTA reports.
"Armenians should be very careful not to repeat what happened in Ukraine, God forbid... In Ukraine everything started exactly the same way... So that they, Armenians, who have just come out of one war, do not get into a difficult situation in connection with it. There is no need to rush. We should just think, we should be wise people," said Alexander Lukashenko, speaking at the end of the EAEU summit in Astana.
He added that the people of Armenia should "express their opinion" on this issue and criticized the leadership of the republic for "playing for elections" (parliamentary voting is scheduled for June 7).
"We understand that this is a political game - tomorrow is elections in Armenia. Naturally, it's being twisted and tangled... But the Armenian leadership does it in vain," Lukashenko said, calling Yerevan's actions a "humiliation" of the EAEU.
The dictator also hinted that what is happening in Armenia is beneficial to external forces, pointing to Yerevan's recent contacts with EU representatives.
It should be noted that earlier Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan harshly responded to Lukashenko.
