Ukraine Imposes Sanctions Against Two Belarusian Companies

Who fell under the restrictions.

Ukraine has imposed sanctions against the Belarusian Oil Company and the Belarusian-Chinese defense enterprise Volat-Sanjiang. This was reported by the press service of the Ukrainian president.

Vladimir Zelensky signed two decrees, which introduced the decision of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine to synchronize sanctions with the decisions of the European Union.

The restrictions affected 16 Russian citizens and 31 companies from Russia, Belarus, the UAE, Central Asian countries and the occupied territories. The list includes heads of strategic enterprises, representatives of the Russian army, military-industrial complex companies, manufacturers of components for drones and firms that help circumvent sanctions. Measures have also been applied to individuals and companies associated with Iran's missile and drone programs.

- We continue to synchronize sanctions regimes with the EU and partners. We expect further intensification of pressure on Russia and all those who help support its aggression. We are already completing joint work on drafts of subsequent sanctions decisions by the EU and partner states, including the 21st package of sanctions," Vladyslav Vlasiuk, advisor and presidential commissioner for sanctions policy, said.

We would like to recall that in April, both companies were included in the 20th package of European sanctions.
