Two More Refineries In Russia Halted Operations After Drone Strikes

Both refineries are owned by Rosneft.

Two oil refineries owned by Rosneft have stopped working in Russia after drone attacks. It is about the Tuapse and Novokuibyshevsk refineries.

According to Reuters.

According to Reuters interlocutors, the Tuapse refinery, which is the only one on Russia's Black Sea coast, stopped work on April 16 after a drone attack on the port of Tuapse. The facility was hit again on April 20.

The attacks damaged port infrastructure and oil tanks. Smoke from the fire, according to sources, by Tuesday stretched about 300 km and reached Stavropol.

The Tuapse refinery stopped its only primary oil refining unit with a capacity of 12 million tons a year due to the inability to ship products.

The Novokuibyshevsk refinery with a capacity of 8.3 million tons a year also stopped work on April 18, according to the agency's interlocutors.

The plant was attacked on Saturday, after which both primary oil refining units - AVT-11 and AVT-9 - were taken out of service.

The refinery produced 1.1 million tons of gasoline, 1.6 million tons of diesel fuel and 1.3 million tons of fuel oil last year.
