The Belarusians didn't like the place.

The "Women's Beer Hall" bar in Minsk may soon close its doors. One of the co-owners, Alexandra Tyamchik, shared the sad news on Instagram, writes tochka.by.

“‘Women’s Beer Hall’ is closing. Unfortunately, this isn’t clickbait; it’s a very likely scenario for the next couple of months,” the entrepreneur stated.

The establishment hasn’t been open for very long: as Tyamchik explained, it turned half a year old on October 2. Their profit margins have been very inconsistent.

As it turned out, they made the most money in August. The reason was simple: many young women from Russia had heard about the bar, and the majority of female patrons came from that country. By September, profits had already fallen by half.

“Of course, experienced entrepreneurs will say that if a project hasn’t been around for a year, it’s very difficult to judge its future prospects. However, our project had absolutely no investment. My business partner Yulia and I built this project entirely on our own—using absolutely all the money we had,” — Tyamchik explained the situation.

The pub’s profits went toward paying off the debts we had to take on to open the business. And although the establishment operated at a profit every month except September, we were unable to build up any savings. That said, the business has no debts to suppliers or for rent.

Despite the crisis, the owners have no intention of giving up so easily and are looking for an investor who, in addition to money, could also contribute ideas.

“Right now, we specifically need money to give the project a new boost for growth during the off-season,” Alexandra explained.
