UAVs are breaching the Russian capital's air defense system.

Moscow is under attack by drones, and all airports in the Russian capital are suspended from receiving and dispatching flights.

This was reported by RBC-Ukraine citing statements by Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin.

According to Russian media reports, Ukrainian drones are attempting to breach Moscow’s air defense system by releasing drones from carrier platforms. All Moscow airports have been closed to both incoming and outgoing flights.

At 1:38 p.m., Sobyanin wrote: “Four UAVs flying toward Moscow were destroyed by the Ministry of Defense’s air defense forces. Emergency services specialists are working at the crash site.”

Twenty minutes later, the mayor reported that two more drones had been destroyed. At 2:10 p.m., he identified the two downed drones, and emergency services were again working at the crash sites.

“Three UAVs were destroyed by the Ministry of Defense’s air defense systems. Emergency response teams are working at the crash site,” Sobyanin wrote at 2:36 p.m.

The mayor’s four posts mention a total of 11 drones.

As a reminder, today drones also attacked the “Azot” chemical plant in the Perm Krai of the Russian Federation. Smoke was spotted above the plant in Berezniki, and regional authorities reported a drone attack.
