Power Went Out In Crimea Following A Series Of Explosions

The occupying authorities are talking about "targeted" restrictions.

In occupied Crimea, “selective” power outages have been imposed, allegedly due to the risk of overloads and failures in the power grid. Prior to this, explosions were heard on the peninsula.

This was reported by the Telegram channel “Crimean Wind”, citing the occupying company “Crimean Energoinform.”

According to the “energy company,” power outages will occur “selectively and as necessary.” The occupiers are calling this a “necessary measure” to prevent a large-scale failure across the entire grid.

So far, there are no precise hourly schedules for the outages by district.

Despite claims of selective measures, all villages in the Krasnoperekopsk district have been left without power. In Krasnoperekopsk itself, the power went out around 6:00 a.m.—this happened immediately after a series of explosions heard by local residents.

Power outages in this district were also reported the night before, on the night of October 1. At that time, the outages were caused by damage to power lines and a strike near a local substation close to the Bromny Plant.
