Ukraine’s “long-term sanctions” against Wildberries could force Russia to come to the negotiating table. Following these events, the overwhelming majority of Russians want the war to end.

This was reported by a correspondent for RBC-Ukraine, citing a statement by Finnish President Alexander Stubb at a press conference following the “Coalition of the Willing” meeting in Kyiv.

Stubb shared his opinion on Ukraine’s long-range strikes against Russian oil refineries and warehouses.

“While we were here celebrating Ukraine’s Independence Day last year, the situation for Ukraine was more difficult from a military, financial, and economic standpoint. Today we are in a better position,” the Finnish leader said.

To end the war, Stubb says, Ukraine needs both military and financial assistance to enhance its ability to strike deep into Russian territory.

“Whether through the use of drones or missiles, as this increases the cost of the war for Russia,” he added.

He noted that 65% of Russians are already expressing a desire to end this war. And the destruction of the Wildberries warehouses alone led to a 10% increase in that number.

“If you’re wondering whether this military strategy makes sense from Ukraine’s perspective, I’d say that it certainly does. This is the only way we can ensure Russia’s participation in peace talks at the negotiating table,” Stubb said.
