Kadyrov Has Almost Stopped Walking And Has Lost His Influence In The Kremlin
Ramzan Kadyrov

The Chechen leader is no longer invited to Moscow.

The illness of Chechnya's leader Ramsan Kadyrov, appears to be getting worse. He has stopped leaving Grozny, rarely appears in public, and will not participate in the parliamentary elections this fall. This is reported by the independent Russian publication “We Can Explain”.

Kadyrov has stopped leaving the Chechen capital. The rare occasions when he appears in public only fuel rumors about his serious condition. The long-serving head of Chechnya can barely stand on his own and is forced to lean on aides and bodyguards.

“The Kremlin dictator has started referring to the Chechen leader simply as ‘Ramzan’—without his patronymic. He can no longer even call Vaino and Kirienko directly. And he has found himself dependent on a friend from the Presidential Administration—his former enemy, the billionaire Suleiman Kerimov,” writes “We Can Explain.”

By all accounts, Kadyrov has lost his status as “head of the Caucasus.” He has also begun to distribute his inheritance. In particular, he has transferred his Airbus A319 jet to his sons Adam and Eli for their use. This aircraft flies regularly to Moscow and Saudi Arabia.

For the first time, Kadyrov is not running in the federal elections. Instead, his closest associates are running in his place. It is clear that Kadyrov sees his youngest son Adam as his successor. The head of Chechnya is ignoring the Kremlin’s dissatisfaction with this candidate, promoting his 18-year-old son for the post of head of the republic. Some influential Chechen security officials have begun hanging portraits of Adam in their offices alongside images of Kadyrov Sr. and Putin.
