Today, August 21, explosions rocked Perm, Russia. Smoke rose over the city.

Local authorities stated that an attack by unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) is being repelled in the region. Meanwhile, Russians are screaming amid the attack and explosions and complaining that it is impossible to sleep.

It is reported that an attack took place on the “LUKOIL-Permnefteorgsintez” oil refinery (PNOS), one of the largest facilities of its kind in the Russian Federation. Details regarding the consequences of the incident are still being clarified.

LUKOIL-Permnefteorgsintez LLC (PNOS) is one of the largest and most technologically advanced oil refineries in the Russian Federation. The facility is located in the city of Perm (Perm Krai) and is owned by the oil company Lukoil.

As a reminder, on the morning of August 20, a series of explosions occurred in Tatarstan, Russia at the Taneco oil refinery located in Nizhnekamsk.
