Lithuanian Foreign Minister: Ukraine Should Join The EU By 2030
Kęstutis Budris

Kęstutis Budris stated that support for Kyiv is key to the security of all of Europe.

Following yet another large-scale attack by Russia on Ukraine, called for granting Ukraine full membership in the European Union by 2030. Kęstutis Budris wrote about this on the social network X.

According to the Lithuanian minister, the continuation of Russian attacks indicates that Moscow is not interested in peace and continues to choose escalation and terror against the civilian population.

Budris emphasized the urgent need to strengthen Ukraine’s air defense, as well as to increase military, energy, and financial aid. He also called for intensifying sanctions pressure on Russia, particularly measures that directly affect its military-industrial complex.

“At the same time, we must fully integrate Ukraine into Euro-Atlantic and European structures, starting with full EU membership by 2030,” Budris stated. “Ukraine has firmly established itself within the European family, and its path toward European and Euro-Atlantic integration must remain our strategic priority.”

“Supporting Ukraine means protecting our own security and the future of Europe. Our response must be commensurate with the scale of Russian aggression.”
