Zelenskyy Spoke About His Most Recent Contacts With The U.S.

The President of Ukraine also announced plans to meet with Trump.

American negotiators have been in contact with Ukraine over the past two days. This offers hope that these contacts will continue at the highest levels.

This was stated by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, according to The Guardian.

Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Rustem Umerov and the son-in-law of U.S. President Donald Trump, Jared Kushner, held talks.

The meeting took place over the past two days, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy told reporters at the site of a Russian strike in the Darnytskyi district of Kyiv.

The head of state also stated that he is still awaiting a visit to Ukraine by U.S. Special Envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner.

Zelenskyy added that he hopes to meet with Trump on the sidelines of the NATO summit in Ankara, Turkey, next week.

As a reminder, an important event in support of Ukraine will take place on July 7–8. A meeting of the Ukraine-NATO Council at the foreign ministers’ level is scheduled to take place in the format of a working dinner.
