The dictator of the Russian Federation will be stopped by the island of Moscow.
Only a threat to Moscow itself—not the situation surrounding Crimea—could force Russian dictator Vladimir Putin to halt hostilities against Ukraine.
This was stated by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, according to Novosti.LIVE.
According to the head of state, any claims by Putin about his alleged “deep feelings” toward the temporarily occupied peninsula are completely untrue.
“Only the island of Moscow, not Crimea, can force Putin to cease hostilities,” emphasized Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
The president stressed that the dictator truly knows neither the situation in Crimea nor what is happening in eastern Ukraine. All his claims that he supposedly loves these regions and needs them are untrue.
“He knows about it only from his officers’ reports,” the Ukrainian leader added.
Zelenskyy explained that Putin desperately needs to demonstrate some kind of success to bolster support within Russian society. Since there are no real achievements on the front lines, the Kremlin is trying to pressure Ukraine through intimidation and aggressive statements.
“He needs to sell a major victory to his own people. There is no victory. There will be no victory,” the president concluded.
