Drones Attacked One Of Russia's Largest Oil Refineries In Kstovo

In the Russian city of Kstovo in the Nizhny Novgorod Region, approximately 800 km from the Ukrainian border, reports have emerged of drone attack on an oil refinery. Photos and videos showing plumes of smoke rising above the facility have been posted online.
This was reported by the Telegram channel Exilenova+, which published a series of photos and videos from Kstovo.
According to the channel, the “Lukoil-Nizhegorodnefteorgsintez” oil refinery may have been hit; a fire broke out on its premises.



“Lukoil-Nizhegorodnefteorgsintez” is one of Russia’s largest oil refineries. The facility produces gasoline, diesel, and jet fuel.
According to open sources, this is not the first time this refinery has been targeted by drones. The previous attack on the facility was recorded in May of this year.
As of this publication, Russian authorities had not officially commented on reports of a possible strike on the Kstovo oil refinery. The Ukrainian side has also not made any statements regarding this attack.
