The occupiers urged the diplomats to "leave the city as soon as possible."
Russian troops are allegedly launching systematic strikes on Kiev, as well as on decision-making centers and command posts. This was announced by the Russian Foreign Ministry on May 25.
The Kremlin made such a decision, according to the Russian side, against the background of the attack on the night of May 22 with the use of drones on the academic building and college dormitory of the Luhansk State Pedagogical University in Starobelsk. The Russian Foreign Ministry once again accused Ukraine of targeting civilian infrastructure and causing civilian casualties, and characterized the strike as "deliberate." However, the AFU General Staff had earlier denied such claims. The Ukrainian military said that in the area of Starobelsk they hit one of the headquarters of the Russian special unit Rubicon, whose representatives regularly strike civilians and civilian objects on Ukrainian territory.
Otherwise, Moscow claims that its cup of patience is "overflowing" and that it is moving to systematic shelling. According to the aggressor's Foreign Ministry, it is, in particular, about enterprises of the Ukrainian military-industrial complex.
Separately mentioned are strikes on facilities related to the design, production, programming and preparation for use of unmanned systems, which, according to the Russian Foreign Ministry, are used with the participation of foreign specialists and component suppliers.
It is also stated that preparations for attacks on "decision-making centers and command centers" have been made.
"We warn foreign citizens, including personnel of diplomatic missions and representative offices of international organizations, to leave the city as soon as possible, and residents of the Ukrainian capital not to approach the military and administrative infrastructure facilities of [Ukrainian President Volodymyr] Zelensky's regime," the statement reads.
