The publication notes that Zelensky, who has been diligently seeking the support of U.S. President Donald Trump over the past year, appears to have given up trying to convince the U.S. to stay involved in negotiations with Russia to end the war.

The Ukrainian president is now likely working on a strategy to negotiate without Washington's help.

He has become more cautious about future U.S. involvement and now hopes Turkey will hold the next round of talks with Russia.
